I am an educator who believes great teaching starts with knowing your learners—and being willing to adjust when something isn’t working. I value clear, explicit instruction and strong foundational skills, while making space for learners to think critically, explore, create, and apply what they know. With a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and experience across a variety of classroom settings, I bring a practical lens to curriculum and instruction, with a particular interest in creating learning experiences and resources that are clear, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and responsive to the diverse needs of learners.

A problem solver at heart, I am less interested in creating something simply for the sake of creating it and more interested in asking, “Will this actually work?” My experience extends beyond the classroom to developing and facilitating leadership training, coaching and mentoring staff, observing practice and providing feedback, and helping teams navigate challenges in youth-serving environments. Whether I am adapting curriculum for a learner, developing a resource, or supporting someone else in their practice, I approach the work with curiosity, high expectations, and a willingness to keep refining until it makes sense for the people who will use it.

Outside of work, I am happiest spending time with my husband, family, and friends. I love exploring new places around the world, camping, hunting for a good thrifted treasure, and finding just about any excuse to be outside—whether that means hiking, swimming, travelling, or reading a book in the sunshine.
