Consultant, Sustainable Development Advocacy

I’m a nehiyaw iskwew from Beaver Lake Cree Nation in northeastern Alberta. My lived experience as an Indigenous person has blessed me with many opportunities to create space for Indigenous voices to be heard. Vulnerability has proven to be a key characteristic in my life’s journey so far and is what brought me to live authentically.

I do my best to speak up against injustice in any form whenever I have the capacity to do so. I look at the work that I do amongst the broader landscape of change makers, recognizing that collective action is the most important catalyst for lasting societal change.  Every project undertaken, every initiative pursued is a deliberate step towards creating a better tomorrow for the generations that will come after us.

I love that creating change does not have to be loud to be impactful and I’m a dedicated advocate for meaningful change. In working relationships, I value both respect for autonomy and accountability and for this reason, I work to create spaces that are not only safe but also accountable.

As a functional introvert, my peace and grounding is found in my home. Home is a space where I can reset my mind and spirit. I also love to sing. So every once in a while, you’ll find me at my favourite karaoke spot!
